One of the strengths of Mason Statistical Consulting Group is our ability to combine mathematical theory with its application. We have extensive experience in programming for data analysis, design of experiment, sampling, statistical modeling, data mining, time series and forecasting, and linear models. Mason Statistical Consulting Group uses cutting edge software to supply our clients with the most accurate and comprehensive results possible.
While much of our computing work is centered on generating a statistical analysis or model for a client data set, our services do not stop there. Depending on client needs, we can deliver ground-up custom software applications to perform routine tasks, such as, optimizing employee hiring/scheduling or optimizing quality control parameters in a production operation. Our technical knowledge may be summarized as follows:
- Computing science: data structure programming, networking, operating systems development, simulation, software engineering, web design, database design.
- Computing platforms: UNIX, Windows 2000/NT/XP, and some familiarity with Macintosh operating systems.
- Programming languages: C++, utilization of SAS and Matlab as programming languages, JAVA, SQL, C, Visual Basic, HTML, Flash, PHP.
- Statistical software: Extensive experience with SAS, R and Matlab; experience with Splus and Promodel; familiarity with Minitab, SPSS, Stata and StatFit.
- Text formatting and office computing: Latex, Word, Illustrator, Excel, and PowerPoint.
